6 1 Lifting 9 Hélicrab: spiral worksite staircase E C H A F A U D A G E S Before lifting a complete tower, use ties to attach the screw jacks. The tower weight for lifting should not exceed 3.6 t. Contact our design office before lifting larger towers. Standard handling and stabilisation rules and the recommendations in the Crab system manual should be followed. Code Description Weight (kg) 198949-0 Tie for screw jack 0.50 023641-4 Lifting ring for tube Ø 49 2.15 Lifting ring WLL: 1.8 t. * Working Load Limit • Place the screw jacks and fit the basic standards and ledgers. • Level, then fit 2.00 m standards, Panaciers, safe erection guard rails, steps and erection platform 1.00 m up. • Fit an erection platform to the existing staircase. • Fit a ledger at 1.00 m and two and three step flights. • Tube and coupler brace holding the central post using 2 two bolt swivel couplers. • The lifting rings to each standard should be as close as possible to the ledgers. • Horizontal diagonal brace with tube and 2 right angle, 4 bolt couplers below the lifting rings. • Lift pre-assembled section into place fit the standards together. • Remove the brace attached to the central post. • Remove that horizontal brace and the lifting rings. • Fit the anchors at 8.00 m. • Fit the missing 1.72 m diagonal braces used as guardrails. • Complete the exit following steps 9 to 11. • Fit a tube and coupler brace holding the central central post using 2 two bolt swivel couplers. • Standing on the erection platform, assemble the section to be lifted into place following steps 6 and 7. • Fit lifting rings to each standard as close as possible to the ledgers. • Fit a horizontal tube and coupler brace using 2 right angle, four bolt couplers below the lifting rings. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Standards must be double bolted
