231 PUBLIC EVENTS - TECHNICAL INFORMATION - 2023 PUBLIC EVENTS ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS PODIUM WITH PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (P.P.E.) •Place and lay the adjustable baseplates on the distribution wedges. •Fit the horizontal diagonal braces to the nut of the adjustable baseplate. •Interlock the basic standards. •Fit the ledgers and level. 1 2 3 4 •Fit uprights finished with 0.27 m end section. •Uprights are double bolted. •Fit the diagonal braces on every other grid section facing each other. •If necessary, depending on the height, lay and use assembly PANACIERs. •Fit rectangle ledgers. •Fit single staples on the ends and double staples in the middle. •Fit rafters in the staples. •Screw each end of the rafters into the staples' holes. •Fit the guardrail supports. •Assemble a public access staircase beside the podium, following the appropriate safe assembly procedure. •Fit the “No entry” sign. •Access the podium deck following the erecting procedure with P.P.E. •Fit and screw in plywood as you progress from the access staircase. •Each plywood board must be fixed to the rafters with at least 6 screws. 6 P.P.E. attachment points: refer to the P.P.E chapter. 5 •Fit guardrails around the podium. •Inspect the podium and put the inspection report in the pocket on the “no entry” sign. 6 COMPOSITION OF THE DECKS The 500 daN/m2 working load can be achieved if: 1-The rafters are in good condition and have the following characteristics: •Nature: category 2 resin (σe = 80 daN/cm2) •93 x 82 mm or 100 x 75 mm section •Centre distance: 0.35 m •Length = grid section length - 65 mm (Example: 2.00 m grid section, 1.935 m rafter) 2-The decks are made of combi plywood at least 18 mm thick. All podiums must be justified by a design note and working drawing. Dismantle in the reverse order of assembly. Follow the recommendations for assembly at the beginning of the document.
