This advantage enables the same ledgers, diagonal braces and decks to be used on all our systems equipped with CRAB stirrups. The Crab system is used on MULTICRAB scaffolding using 49 mm diameter tubes, on CRABÉTAI falsework using 57 mm diameter tubes and on CRABTOUR and TOURÉCHAF falsework using 60 mm diameter tubes. The use of common scaffolding and falsework components makes equipment management easy. The CRAB system is able to mix and match standards with different diameters according to the load-bearing requirements. For example, 57 mm diameter CRABÉTAI standards can be used for the bottom of very tall 49 mm diameter MULTICRAB scaffolding. The length of the stirrup varies according to the diameter of the tube in order to maintain a constant spacing between standards of different diameters.
